NC Network

An intriguing and ground breaking development is occurring in Cookstown, Northern Ireland. You might even go so far as to call it a Portuguese revolution.

Step forward Alberto De Barros, co owner of Ballymena and Provincial league side Sofia Farmer FC - a visionary whose aim to take the club to the Europa League is extremely attainable, given the resources and talent at the club's disposal.

Listen in as Alberto tells us how the club was formed, the key to it's recent change in fortunes and his hopes and aspirations for both the club and its players.

We also talk about the Portuguese national team's success at the Euro's.

This week Stel is joined by Italian football writer Enzo Misuraca and former Arsenal midfielder David Hillier.

We try our very best (honest) to provide some advice for David Moyes and Sunderland, although as it stands, we're pretty sure Championship football beckons.

Enzo gives us his perspective on the Koscielny-Mustafi partnership, Montella's young Milan and the problems at Inter, while David is in top form with some great points about Arsenal's new system, Klopp and Guardiola's influence on their players, Tom Heaton's attributes and more!

Stel and Mike are joined by Steve Kabba (@STKabba) and Amar Adatia (@Amaradatia) - Actor, Producer and Director, to talk about the release of Gangsters, Gamblers and Geezers.

We also sink our teeth into Jose Mourinho's disastrous return to Stamford Bridge, while Stel rips into United's under performers.

There's Steve's analysis of Arsenal's draw at home to Middlesbrough, followed by three bizarre stories involving a farting South African international, a booking for Twerking and another yellow for (apparent) showboating.

Shoot the Defence were proud to be at the Liverpool Legends event at Luton's Crescent Hall, as part of the European Cup Winners Tour. Our very own @cheekyric mingled with the legends Phil Neal, Jimmy Case and Terry McDermott as well as other guests and brings us some of the stories that were told to a packed audience.

Singer/songwriter Marc Kenny (@marckenny) kept everyone entertained with Liverpool songs and comedian Mike Maguire (@ComedyVoices) had them laughing in the isles. The @VoiceofAnfield was the master of ceremonies.

The event was in aid of www.keech.org.uk. Keech Hospice Care supports adults in Luton and South Bedfordshire and children and their families living in Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Milton Keynes.

Biggest thank you is to Nick Tanner (@nicktanner799) for the invitation and Abu Nasir (@abunasir7), Chief Exective of www.gsvuk.com/.
