Sharing our faith is a critical and mandatory part of having a vibrant healthy life of faith, yet so many times we neglect such an important part of our journey with Jesus. In the third and final week of this series, we will explore some simple things to share and some simple steps to take so that we can be prepared to give a reason for why we choose to place our hope in Jesus and his church.

Growing in community

Thousands of years ago Jesus made a promise and a predication to his earliest followers that he would build a gathering of people who would hold the keys to his kingdom. The essence and the ethic of the local church has always been to open the door to God’s kingdom by including people from all walks of life. In week one of this series we will examine why gathering together is the ultimate witness to the world around us that God wants everyone to be a part of his kingdom.

So many of us are trying so desperately to get “there.” We dream of the day when we will arrive at our preferred status, job, income level, or relationship. While we should hope and dream for the future, living a last arrow life means also means making preparations for what God has planned for us. In the fifth and final week of this series we will explore how to be ready win the battle for our future.

Elisha was a great prophet who did great things for God but if we take a good look at his life, we will find that no one gave him a script for his future, no one gave him the details of what he could become, and no one decided what he would do with his life. The only thing Elisha was given was an opportunity to decide his future for himself. In week four of this series we will share with our youth and young adults how to take the opportunity to be in charge of their future by placing their lives in the right hands.

Living a life without regrets means eventually learning to live without regard for your past. Perhaps no one knew this better than Elisha who once left behind everything to follow Elijah. Learning how to burn down the pain of our past by having the faith to forgive.
