Irish Air Corps 100th Birthday Celebrations from 1913 up to 2022. Myra Gleeson chatted to Michael Whelan who holds a Master of Arts Degree in Modern History. Michael is Curator of the Irish Air corps Museum and spoke about the early days of the Irish Air Corps. Michael also served on Peacekeeping missions in Lebanon and Kosovo.

 

 

 

Paula Wiseman chatted with Dominika Topolska, Innovation Programme Coordinator for Mental Health Reform.

Dominika spoke about the eMEN Project, and how the project and the learning became relevant during the pandemic. They also spoke about how valuable funding from the EU can be to projects.

Near FM presents a unique performance from violinist Patrick Rafter accompanied by pianist Ellen Jansson, recorded in Dublin’s Hugh Lane Gallery in the summer of 2021. This performance is interspersed with an extended interview by Patrick, offering insights into his formative years as a musician, growing up in Kilkenny and his journey as a world renowned musician.
