Dr. Mark Griffiths, distinguished professor of behavioural addiction and director of the international gaming research unit at Nottingham Trent University in the UK joins Liam Nolan to discuss video game and technology addiction as well as gambling like aspects employed by the designers of modern multiplayer games. Their conversation touches on many issues including in game premium marketplaces, freemium models, the ubiquity of video game and other screen use among young people today as well as the importance for parents of ensuring their children are playing age appropriate games.
