Have you ever heard the same song performed by two different singers and one just completely makes that original their song? Donny Hathaway was that singer that got a hold of your record and when he performed it, it was his song and you couldn't get it back. This episode explores the life of Donny Hathaway and the Marvin Gaye hit (protest) song What's going on. If you haven't heard Donny sing it then you are in for a treat. If you have then relax as normal and enjoy it like it was the first time. I also discuss my grandfather Elijah, me driving at a young age and 8 track tapes with Al green and sitting by the Dock of the Bay. Enjoy!
