Necromancer

Movies: 10 Things I Hate About You (1999) and Halloween (1976). The necromancers have made it to 100 episodes and they’re taking another pass at “Episode 0” to celebrate! But Bret and Shira hardly need the excuse to talk about their favorite movies within their respective favorite genres. Listen and then stick around for some delightfully unhinged movie […]

Part 2 of 2. Movie:  (2007). The necromancers have one last stop to make in their journey through Spain. It’s just a routine 911 call to an apartment building. What could go wrong? The answer is a whole lot in Bret’s pick, REC. Tune in to find out what the fuss is about and then stick […]

Part 1 of 2. Movie: A Spanish Affair (2014). No one expects the Spanish Inquisition! Least of all the necromancers as they travel to Spain for their latest theme. Up first is Shira’s pick, A Spanish Affair. Will the duo understand all the regional humor or simply lose themselves to the rhythm of acoustic guitars and […]

Part 2 of 2. The necromancers are back and they’ve written their own vows for Bret’s pick: Hatchet for the Honeymoon, a movie that proves men will do anything to get out of going to therapy. Do you take Bret and Shira’s opinions about movies to have and hold until death do you part? Ok, […]

Part 1 of 2. Wedding bells are ringing and the necromancers are speaking now before forever holding their peace. You guessed it. The theme is weddings and up first is Shira’s pick, Marry Me. J Lo is well established as the queen of wedding rom coms but will Bret say “I do” to Marry Me’s […]

Part 2 of 2. Bret and Shira finish up the story of a young girl’s strange, sometimes erotic journey from Canada to Hollywood. It’s about time the necromancer’s talked about Shira’s pick, About Time. What is it about time travelers that makes Rachel McAdams keep marrying them? Listen to find out and then stick around […]

Part 1 of 2. Bret and Shira have had enough of actors. Canceled. It’s all about actresses now, specifically Rachel McAdams, the star of the latest theme. Up first is Bret’s pick, Red Eye, a perfect nightmare woven by Wes Craven. Can Rachel hang with Nancy and Sidney or will she fall prey to the […]

Part 2 of 2. Bret and Shira can’t get enough of that himbo with a heart of gold: Brendan Fraser. And why do one movie about him romancing a woman named Eve, when they could do two? Plus a zombie. That’s right. The Mummy (1999) is Bret’s pick. Don’t be on the wrong side of […]

Part 1 of 2. Bret and Shira are back with another actor themed episode and Brendan Fraser, king of 1999, is the star. The necromancers kick off the celebration of Baby B with Shira’s pick, Blast From Past. You’d think a movie about a man kept inside a bomb shelter for 30 years may sound […]

Part 2 of 2. Bret and Shira fight their way through the 36 chambers to finish the theme of Kung Fu. Up next is Shira’s pick: Wing Chun. Lead actress Michelle Yeoh has always been a badass but has she mastered the art of rom coms? Listen to find out and then stick around for […]
