The lads chat Norwegian black metal.

Brian Malone is a true virtuoso in the realm of death metal, having previously led the renowned band Diabolic as its chief creative force. His exceptional guitar skills were instrumental in propelling Diabolic to commercial success. Currently, his musical journey continues with Shadow Legion, a new venture that showcases his virtuosity once again, encompassing a wide range of styles beyond traditional death metal. Operating under the banner of "Dark Metal," this Shadow Legion synthesis brings together elements of epic heavy metal, death metal, and black metal.

In this episode, we delve into Malone's latest project, Shadow Legion, and explore the short-lived project of Omneity. During our discussion, we also navigate the history of Diabolic, addressing the unfortunate emergence of a fraudulent iteration of the band name spawned by a former percussionist who had been ousted from the ranks. Despite these challenges, Malone remains steadfast in his creative trajectory, carving an authentic path within the metal topography, irrespective of those who attempt to lay claim to his legacy.
