What is passion in marriage & where does it come from? Can it be resurrected? There are so many couples who say "The spark is gone" or "I'm not in love in more" but fail to realize that we are more in control of our desire than we think we are. In this episode, we talk about how you can cultivate passion and desire in marriage.
The bible has a lot to say about this topic including Psalm 37:4 "Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart." But the way we have interpreted this scripture has been mostly wrong.
The origin story of the wife is often misunderstood. The name"Eve" didn't even emerge until after the couple in the Garden of Eden sinned and were removed. You see, the tension between men and women was a part of the curse, but through Christ, the story of Eve has been reversed and now we're able to discover God's original design for the wife.
Along with discovering her real story, in this episode, we help women rise to their full potential by talking about how to:
+ Refine and strengthen your God-given relational skills.
+ Learn how to pray effectively
+Know the Power Your Carry
+Learning to choose your words carefully
Since we've been talking about "the story of marriage" in our latest series of the podcast Needed Conversations, it's only right that we identify the main characters. In marriage, there are 3, God, the Husband, & the Wife. In this episode we focus on the origin story of the Husband, looking at God's original design, the responsibilities of a Godly husband, and uncovering the amazing illustration of a husband as a gardener.

We've been in a series discussing God's Story of Marriage and what a story we have to share with you today! We had the privilege of sitting down with Josh and Katie Walters to hear the incredible story of hope and redemption. They began sharing about their marriage over 10 years ago when they told their vulnerable story at Seacoast Church for the first time in front of thousands of people. They told the story about how in 2008 they were confronted with a season of brokenness and God miraculously restored them. They overcame adultery and then rejection from their community. Now they're on a mission to share this story in their new book called "New Marriage. Same Couple" available now at https://www.amazon.com/New-Marriage-Same-Couple-Worst/dp/1400335566
