“Believe you can and you’re halfway there”
- Theodore Roosevelt
This episode is touching briefly on a very timely issue that so many people face in the winter, breaking free from negativity and embracing our self-empowerment . I think we all struggle with this at some point or another, especially in the winter months- “the winter blues”
The winter months for so many can be very long, sometimes we get all bugged down by the inactivity of winter, especially if we’re not involved in the winter sports. In some cases, this can leave us feeling a little inadequate not feeling like we are good enough and doubting what we’re doing.
I truly want to tell you, you’re not alone I can attest to the winter blues getting the best of me as they call SAD and I also can tell you all of these feelings get the better of me every now and then because we’re all human, and our emotions, can affect us very easily, in fact changing our mindset.
But I’ve learned one of the most important thing is a rewiring my thinking, emotions from negative to positive is the key. If we look at it as,ignoring negative thoughts as if you’re ignoring someone that is annoying you. It might sound simplistic , but we all know it’s not as easyas it sounds but the key is to push through, break cycle to the mental negativity and focus on the positive.
Here’s the truth and I hope you believe this, I have to tell you, it wasn’t easy for me, it was really hard, but we all have the power within us, to push through it. it takes intentional actions, mean we have to to be the one that takes the action no one else will do it for us. We have to be the one will to do the hard work to help us to, “be your empowered self”
Affirmations-
“ I am capable and strong. I trust myself to make positive choices and create a life that I love.”
-Debra Fodor
So take the time you need to reflect on your thoughts and emotion identify what are some of the things that are affecting you when you are at your worst time, when your thoughts are negative and you feel as though you’re spiralling down, take that moment, sit down and think about what is causing these feelings within you, write them down, clear it out of your mind, and you will feeling so much better, when you release it.
