by Elder Chris McCool, Pastor (preached on September 28, 2025)
As we continue in Chapter Ten of Nehemiah, we find the phrase “house of our God” appearing nine times in these verses, referring to the Temple that had been restored in Zerubbabel’s day. In the prophecy of Haggai, we learn about the rebuilding of that Temple, and how God promised that it would be more glorious even than Solomon’s Temple because the Lord Jesus Christ would walk in this new Temple! In this chapter, we have already seen that the Jews under Nehemiah committed to submit themselves to the Law and to separate themselves from the world. As we continue in this chapter, we see that they also swore to support the work of the Kingdom with their lives and their material things. Join us as we learn about their dedication to the work of the Kingdom of God.
