Neighbor Up members know that finding a good job that pays a living wage and is close to home is a big challenge for many of their neighbors living in Greater University Circle. Working with University Hospitals and Towards Employment, they crafted a unique jobs pipeline that matches neighborhood residents with jobs inside the hospital. Systemic change from the bottom up. Neighbor Up member Christin Farmer talks with Carol about her group Birthing Beautiful Communities, a sister circle of women in Hough helping women deliver healthy babies. There is a crisis of infant deaths in several Cleveland neighborhoods where African-American women are affected by infant death 3 times more than the national average. On average, 30 babies die a year in the Central neighborhood.
