Neighborhood Church - Messages & Sermons

The Holy Spirit is God present with us - and He is present! Our prayers should be that we are more AWARE of His presence in our lives, and how He longs to work through us.

Pastor Pam shares with us this morning the blessings and the struggles of being a mother.

What seems impossible with us is not impossible with God. We sure desire for impossible things to happen in our lives and our world, don’t we? Why don’t we see them happening? Perhaps they are already being done and we just aren’t looking for them.

God tells us repeatedly in Scripture - It's OK to pray BIG prayers! In fact, our understanding of how big we can pray affects how big we see God. Let's explore what it means to pray these kinds of big, "impossible" prayers in faith and with our hearts aligned to God.

This morning we heard from Nic Sylvain, and he shares with us the significance of renewing our minds, and the active stance we take in learning what God's will is for our lives.

Pastor Fred leads us in a discussion about finding our true source of energy. Where do we get that from, if not Christ? What does it look like to work with our all for Christ?

As we look at "hard questions" in our lives, there are a few things we have to keep in mind: 1. Jesus walks with us on our journey. 2 Jesus listens to our questions. 3 Jesus challenges us to believe. And 4, Our burdened hearts becoming burning hearts

As we conclude our series on The Gospel, we look at what Jesus came to do for us. How do we live our lives looking at Jesus, our Savior?

In the time of David, the Israelites demanded a king! They wanted a ruler, someone to take over their lives and take care of them! And God heard this cry - and He promised to do just that. He fulfilled that promise with Jesus - our ruling King. On this Palm Sunday Pastor Fred talks about the contrast of how Jesus was accepted and praised as Lord, and then just a week later that same crowd is screaming for His life to be taken.

In Moses' time, there was a clear need for a deliverer. The Israelites were enslaved, trapped, without hope... So what did God do? He heard the cries of His people, the hurt and need in their heart... And He delivered them. What a great foreshadowing of God's desire to save us eternally! God works - He responds - and He rescues His people!
