Neighborhood Church - Messages & Sermons

When we do things, when we serve, when we give - we have to remember, we're not just working for ourselves... We're working, doing, serving for Jesus!

To truly love our neighbor, we can't expect everyone to show up conveniently on our doorstep, when we're in the mood to love. We have to go to them! We go into the world, to show the love of Jesus to the world.

Love is something that Jesus stresses more importantly than anything else. First, love God; then, love others. We each have unique gifts that allow us to love in our own ways - and that's important too. Our love towards others doesn't need or have to look like anything other than our own genuine way. So let us learn to love like Jesus towards others, and love like God made us to!

When we lead, our leadership should reflect the attitude of Christ Ken Schmidtke, one of our Board Members, shares with us his role in working for Youth for Christ, and how his leadership has impacted kids for the Kingdom.

The continuation of our series in Paul's letters to the church in Colossae, and how it transformed their lives!

We are beginning a new series, based on Paul's letters to the church in Colossae. His letters to the church there RADICALLY changed their lives! It transformed their way of thinking, corrected misunderstandings, and set them on a new course! That's how life with Christ should be - reimagined, reinvented - brand new! So with our old mindsets, how can we reimagine life for ourselves? How do we change the way we think about life, and life in Christ?

The Holy Spirit wants to speak to our souls - this is where we often can feel the Holy Spirit working, moving in us, and prompting us to respond.
