In the Land (Genesis 12:1-3) In order for the kingdom to be established in the earth, it was necessary for there to be a people living in one place on this planet where God’s will was always done. So he brought to himself the nation of Israel and gave them their own land. God’s plan was to establish the land as a beachhead from which his rule could be spread throughout the earth. Focus is on the nation of Israel as a ‘kingdom’ people.

God’s Rule in Man (Gen 1:26-27)

The kingdom is not merely a spiritual kingdom; God intended to establish his visible rule in the earth through his image-bearers—man and woman. But there has been an interruption to that plan when Adam and Eve fell. But the Fall did not abort God’s plan to rule this planet through humans whom he has created. The kingdom now required a redemption of humans as God’s image-bearers.

This message looks at how the kingdom comes in three distinct phases; definite, progressive, consummative.
