Listen Later

During the war in Bosnia, Nejira Nalić McCarrick began her journey as a volunteer, driven by a deep conviction: women’s economic inclusion is a fundamental path to peace and recovery. She founded the NGO Crveni ljiljan (Red Lili) at the height of the conflict, later working as a translator for Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Roy Gutman, helping document war crimes and raise international awareness.
