London's Nelson Alexander was riding a bike as he trained for an Ironman triathlon when he was hit by a car and thrown over his handlebars to the pavement. His cracked and smashed bike helmet tells the story of the job it did in absorbing some of the impact and while Nelson was left with significant injuries - he has now recovered and is back training.
