The island-nation of Krakoa was founded under the idea of mutant sovereignty and is governed by the collective known as The Quiet Council. The departure of Magneto has left a seat open and many mutants, including Selene Gallio, have been vying for the spot. However, her campaign for the position was unsuccessful as Hope Summers put forward her own name for candidacy. A poor winner and an even worse loser. Selene has made her displeasure at this decision well-known…Meanwhile, amid the chaos, Sinister continues to scheme.

PART TWO: ALL MANKIND'S WOES
