To give two items in a row to Otis, start by giving him the breath mints and, while Guybrush walks to Otis' cell to do so, open the inventory, press the down arrow key so the gopher repellent gets surrounded by the yellow box, and close the inventory before the conversation with Otis starts. This way it'll be easier and faster to give him the repellent once the conversation is over.

Although it's pretty hard, it's actually possible to open your inventory and select the second rope while Guybrush is walking to the sturdy stump. If you manage to do so, the second rope will be ready to use when you need it.

It's very hard to get the second rope ready to use before you have to use it. If you haven't been able to do so, you can still use it with the keyboard by pressing U (to use) clicking on the sturdy stump, opening the inventory, pressing the right arrow key (so the second rope gets the yellow box) and then pressing Enter.

When you use the last item in your inventory, the inventory will scroll to the top and select the first item. You can use it to your advantage by getting the Jolly Roger as your last ingredient and then use it after adding the gunpowder, wine, cereals, ink and cinnammon to the cooking pot. The inventory will scroll to the top, where you can easily select the map, the chicken and the breath mints.

Once you've given the first banana to the monkey, the monkey will stay in place, and the next item of your inventory (the second banana) will automatically get surrounded by the yellow box. This means you can give all the other bananas to the monkey without moving the cursor, using just the keyboard.

When you open your inventory, if you simply click with the mouse without moving the cursor, you won't click on the item the cursor is on but on the item surrounded by a yellow box. You have to slightly move the cursor so the item the cursor is on gets the yellow box, and then click on it.

When giving the fish to the troll, you have to be careful. If you simply walk to the troll, the troll will stop you and you'll get a dialog.

So, right after you start walking to the troll, open your inventory. When Guybrush reaches the troll, the troll won't stop you, meaning you can safely give him the fish.

One of the trickiest things about the inventory when using the new graphics is that it's very hard to know where an item will be when you open the inventory, so selecting the item with the mouse is tricky.

Luckily, you can select the item that is surrounded with a yellow box by pressing the Enter key, meaning you won't have to move the mouse. So, to give an item, open the inventory by pressing I, then press G (to give), press Enter (to select the item), and click on the people/animals you'd like to give the item to.
