Nerd Skool

The Nerd Skool finishes up Captain Marvel. Joe recaps his assignment to watch Room with Brie Larsen and tells the faculty what he thinks of Brie Larsen now. The gang discuss the fact that Lashana Lynch is British and plays 007, which causes a side discussion of James Bond and misogyny and the difference between a Bond and a 007. They dip into the old 90’s dial-up internet days and the excitement of waiting for it to connect. Art and Andy have a small conflict that TBJ gets involved with for a bit about Secret Invasion or some such nonsense, and the gang starts looking forward to Endgame and the upcoming Marvels movie with Iman Vellani, who actually writes comic books. The Nerd Skool starts contemplating writing their own comic book.

Andy is back so we really jump into Captain Marvel. Joe fulfills his homework requirement TBJ gave him to look up the Brie hate on the interwebs. Joe & Art bring the breaking news of poo at the NY Comic Con, and Art asks Professor Ando how often he thinks of the Roman Empire.

The Professor is sick, so the TA's take over and class jumps into 2019's Captain Marvel starring Brie Larson, directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck. Of course we barely get into the movie because of all the side tracks. TBJ continues to try to sell Art's thigh meat on Only Fans and more!

On this episode of The Nerd Skool, TBJ, Artstar and Professor Andy get together without Joe to discuss the direction of nerdom and other random bits.

Nerd Skool continues Infinity War! Artstar introduces a new segment called, “Now You Know” where he explains to us that Nick Fury and Captain America have the same birthday. Artstar also unleashes his theory that children are better at art than adults because they haven’t been ruined, and that might be why Shuri is smarter than Hulk and Iron Man. TBJ has certain parts awoken by Chris Evans with his beard and dark suit. Robert Downey Jr. & Tom Holland acting chops are also discussed, as well as comparing Iron Man to Spider-man acceptance of each actor. The faculty also discuss Ezra Miller’s major problematic streak. Red Skull appears in Vormir, so there is discussion on if Hugo Weaving plays this part or not. The team closes out the episode talking about Keanu Reeves and his love life and reputation.
