Nervous

Listen Later

Nervous

Be sure to wear a mask, so you can do the dreaded task, go ahead and buy yourself a COVID test

Try not to catch the eye, of the gun toting crazy guy, with the MAGA button pinned to his chest

Be mindful of the guy he follows; and all the shit he swallows listening to his 3-ring circus

It’s election season once again, full on bullshit I tell you friend, and it’s got me feeling nervous

Every day I catch the news, some poor family has the blues from yet another errant gunshot

Another felon on the loose, the wrong person paid the dues; seems they were in the wrong spot

EMT’s, police and fire crews, all victims daily in the news, no show of regard for those who serve us

Has everybody lost their mind? Morality’s running blind with a loaded pistol and I’m feeling nervous

Nervous that what went down in DC, becomes so common to see that it no longer even phases

Violence in the halls, closed door corruption, seems a sanity interruption, objections no one raises

Nervous about what some didn’t see, though it happened on TV in our very own home for democracy

Cover up the egos don’t let them freeze, while lady liberty is on her knee's, folks that's sheer lunacy

Keep a close eye on your feed, contact only those you need watch what you say

Cause the worst virus going round, is the deafening sound, of someone you love being swept away

Following the wrong voices, making bad choices, help them though you think they don’t deserve us

Strength of love will turn the tables, actions that create fables and make the really bad guys nervous

Show them love and cross your fingers, plug your nose cause you know the stench lingers

Cause he’s dredging up the lies from last time, promising pardons if you commit a crime

Set free if I win the election! Pay no attention to direction keep following this political circus

Force him to give just recompense, together let’s use some common sense and make him nervous!
