Net Cast

After we have searched the Scriptures to learn about the Holy Spirit from the Old and New Testament, we have narrowed down the primary works that the Bible reveals He is active in today. Join us for this season finale on the work of the Holy Spirit. We will also cover several of the arguments made against the work of the Holy Spirit and give Bible answers for them. Thank you for your participation in this study.

PARENTAL ADVISORY: If you have been enjoying Net Cast with your children or someone that is not of mature age, I want to advise that we will be looking at sexual intimacy and some of the content is not recommended for those who are not prepared to hear it. While this is a Bible study, be aware that as we explore the depth of human relationships that much of what we discuss will be for those pursuing a relationship or those already preparing for marriage or actively married.

Does the Holy Spirit personally indwell every child of God as a gift to the saved? While this has been a widely debated subject, the New Testament is clear in what it teaches. We want to share the biblical perspective on this indwelling and I hope you will find the message helpful as a blessing to your spiritual life.

All of the Old Testament prophets made promises of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit that would bring new birth and life to a thirsty sinful world. When we enter the New Testament or New Covenant, we begin to see how the Holy Spirit works among the people of God. In this lesson, we will cover what it means to be born again, and discuss the difference between what the word of God does in conception and what the Holy Spirit does in the new birth.

If you have ever wondered how the Holy Spirit abides with man to represent the presence of God, you need to listen to this episode. Here we examine the Old Testament primarily to investigate several prophecies that reveal the difference between the relationship that the Holy Spirit had with those under the old covenant and what his interactions with us look like today under the new covenant in Christ. We will explore the life of Jesus who was full of the Holy Spirit and explain how he was just the firstborn among many brethren. We too are promised that if we come in trusting faith to the Lord that we are given the gift of the Holy Spirit. This is just the beginning of his leadership in our lives.

In this episode, we will examine three of the widely held views on the Holy Spirit and the leadership that He provides. In this first lesson of season 3, we hope to strike a balance on the wide spectrum of views on how the Holy Spirit leads Christians today. While we don't believe the work of the Spirit has ceased, we also understand that many of His works have ceased. Nevertheless, our aim is not to quench the Spirit and to present exactly what the Bible teaches on this subject. Please join us!
