Designing clinical research studies that consider the experiences of patients and their families is key to improving patient lives and outcomes. Enter Dr. Ebony Glover, an Associate Professor at Kennesaw State University who is studying how biological and environmental factors, like sex and socioeconomic status, can affect the likelihood that a person develops PTSD. Dr. Glover brings a unique perspective to the scientific community: she herself has a PTSD diagnosis that influences the type of research she prioritizes.
In Part 2 of our chAT with Dr. Glover, where we talk about how to initiate mental health conversations with your supervisor, as well as ways to take care of your mental health in the face of academic challenges.
