This week, Ruby and Anthony sit down with special guests Mellem Rose and Chris Wallis to discuss Spectrum Intersections, a safe space and community for neurodiverse LGBTIQA+ individuals to learn, support each other, as well as discuss their experiences with various topics relating to LGBTIQA+ advocacy and neurodiversity that runs bi-monthly (pun intended).

Mellem is the Secretary of Bi-Alliance Victoria, member of Melbourne Bisexual Network, committee member of Transgender Victoria and an advocate and activist for the neurodiverse community. Mellem has been active in community organisation and volunteering since their teen years, and is a part of many groups advocating for Neurodiverse and LGBTIQA+ communities.

Chris is current committee member of Bi Alliance Victoria and founding committee member of ‘Saints Pride’, the LGBTIQA+ supporters group for the AFL’s St Kilda Football Club. Chris works with Mellem to foster Spectrum Intersections, a much needed resource to tackle issues surrounding neurodiverse LGBTIQA+ individuals and communities.

We also discuss gender and sexual diversity in regards to neurodiversity, validating neurodiversity, confronting stigma surrounding neurodiverse issues and the importance of group advocacy and community involvement in neurodiverse spaces.
