Neuroscience of Trauma: Tessa

Listen Later

Neuroscience of Trauma: Tessa
Tessa is a health consultant and soon to be Integrative Medicine Practitioner. The majority of her clients are first responders and veterans. She discusses how important the vagus nerve is to healing and how neuroscience can be used to heal trauma by knowing your body systems.
We all hear stories of trauma on the front lines, but what is the healing process like after the trauma? How do you deal with things like darkness, pain, emotions, stress, addiction, financial issues, grief, family dysfunction, and night terrors?
In this podcast, Hayley Adams and Antonio Santana interview first responders: nurses, doctors, firefighters, EMT, police men and women, dispatchers, veterans, and military members to share not only stories of trauma on the front lines, but the coping skills they have learned to help manage their lives in a healthy way. Share this out to the world, it's our mission to create a community of first responders to help spread healing. One community, one mission. Join our community on IG and Facebook!
