So in 2016, the FDA announced they would be putting a new category on the Nutrition Facts label on foods that lists "Added Sugars" under the Total Carbohydrates. Read about it below. 'Added Sugars' Label on Foods Could Save Many Lives While this is an admirable first step in helping to reeducate consumers about the risks of consuming added sugars in their diet, health podcaster and international bestselling author of KETO CLARITY Jimmy Moore doesn't think this goes far enough. While added sugars and even the naturally-occurring sugars that are found in food products are certainly not health-promoting for the people who consume them, Jimmy argues that they need to be educating people about how ALL carbohydrates turn to sugar in the body when they are consumed. Listen in as Jimmy explains a simple way to show consumers the sugar (carb) impact of the foods they eat in this episode.
