Why is it do you think that people are so prone in religious discussions to try to define ‘who’s in and who’s out’? When did being ‘right’ become the symbol of someone’s Christlike nature?

The simple fact is that there are a basic set of assumptions that most people believe to be true, and it is from those assumptions the humans feel the need to frame their ‘right-ness’ (notice I didn’t say ‘righteousness’) by defining why everyone else is ‘wrong’. Theses assumptions go something like this:

This never-ending cycle of assumptions happens so fast in our minds, and yet, it is nothing more than an endless cycle stemming from our knowledge of what is ‘good’ and what is ‘evil’. Quantifying what beliefs and behaviors make one right with God is the original challenge of the garden, and modern religions are still playing the same game.
