Shortly before his arrest and trial, Jesus prays for us. In doing so, he asks the Father to do all that is necessary for his church to live for his glory and experience great joy.
If we are going to do greater things, the things of seeing people come to know Christ and have a vibrant, Christ-honoring, evangelizing and discipling church, it will take the generosity of our people giving to the mission.
Peter sums up the ways we are to live as the church and as individuals who have hope in a difficult world: with humility, perseverance and an eye on the finish line.
Under God’s authority, we are commanded to follow Jesus’ example and live rightly in our relationships with the state, in our work, and in marriage.
