Some prayers are prayers for deliverance, some for healing, some for want, some for praise, and some for thanksgiving. But some prayers are special. Solomon dedicated the Temple with a prayer. Jesus had a prayer of dedication also.

Given the 185 times God used the word Elect and chosen in the OT and the 51 times the word Elect, election and chosen in the NT, I think that God intends for us to acknowledge His authority and power in making His own choices. Election is a positive word. We all make choices based upon what we desire and want to do. God does the same, though His basis for making choices are always from love and keeping His promises.

There are many subjects spoken of in God’s word that people read and disregard, or don’t acknowledge them. Either the subject does not fit into their doctrine, or they don’t know how to explain it. Predestination is one of those subjects.
