Jesus said that John the Baptist was the greatest one ever born of women. That is a huge statement. What made John so special? Well, for one, he was a man who did not bend to cultural shifts. He wasn't a reed shaken in the wind. But I think even bigger than that, he gave his life PLOWING THE ROAD FOR THE FUTURE. For the coming of the Messiah. Today, we will be challenged to PLOW THE ROAD FOR TOMORROW.

One of the issues that must be spoken about is fear. We can become fearful of spreading the gospel. Either by being rejected or experiencing opposition. Jesus now instructs us not to allow fear to deter us and He gives us great reasons why.

As Jesus sends out the disciples He now informs them that they should expect opposition. And that opposition will come from different sources. The main idea Jesus brings out is not to let opposition stop us. Instead we need to look at opposition as opportunity to share and reach others.
