New Challenges to Roe v. Wade

Last week, the United States Supreme Court accepted an abortion case out of Mississippi that poses a challenge to Roe v. Wade. Their decision to review the case is making waves across the nation, opening the door to anti-abortion legislation and concerning pro-choice advocates.
Today, we discuss these recent developments with legal historian Mary Ziegler in the first half. Then, Mike Murray from Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin join us to talk about what this all means for Wisconsin.
Mary Ziegler is a professor at Florida State University College of Law. She specializes in the legal history of reproduction, the family, sexuality, and the Constitution. She is the author of After Roe: The Lost History of the Abortion Debate (Harvard University Press, 2015), Beyond Abortion: Roe v. Wade and the Fight for Privacy (Harvard University Press, 2018), and most recently Abortion and the Law in America: Roe v. Wade to the Present (Cambridge University Press, 2020).
Mike Murray is the vice president of governmental affairs and external relations at Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin and the executive director of Planned Parenthood Advocates of Wisconsin.
