" But each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire. Then desire when it has conceived gives birth to sin, and sin when it is fully grown brings forth death." James 1:14-15 ESV

In James 1:9-12, the Spirit teaches us that whether we are rich or poor, trials face us all. But through trials, we can remain steadfast as we look to the goodness and promises of God.

Faith in a sovereign God is the only way to know joy through trials, because we know that, through trials, God is faithfully producing patience in us.

Jesus was a man of prayer and the Apostles watched His every move. We, as God's ambassadors on earth today, need desperately to return to this state of desperation in prayer if we expect to see the revival we long for.

The early Church was devoted to fellowship. Not as the world sees fellowship, or even how much of Church sees it, but the kind of fellowship that is centered in Jesus and the great commission.

The mission of the early Church si the same mission we have today. "Go and make disciples." This is a study about what brought the Church to a place of influence and missional focus, and how we must continue in these very same things today.
