We’ve entered a beautiful and powerful season on the church calendar called Eastertide—the weeks following Easter Sunday that focus on how the resurrection of Jesus impacts and transforms our daily lives. This season continues until the Day of Pentecost on June 8.

To mark this season, we're launching a brand new mini-series: Prepare to Flourish. This phrase carries two powerful meanings for us:

1. “Prepare to Flourish” is our church’s 2025 Thematic Goal, guiding us toward spiritual growth and bold living.

2. It’s a response to the Easter challenge—to stop living a safe life and start living a flourishing one.

But what does it actually mean to flourish? And how do we prepare for that kind of life?

Join us as we explore what it means to live fully alive in light of the resurrection.

We are thrilled to invite you to New City Covenant Church’s 15 Year Anniversary Celebration on Sunday, May 4, 2025! This special day is for everyone—past and present—who has been part of our church family at any time throughout our journey. Whether you were with us in the early days or have joined us more recently, we want to celebrate God’s faithfulness and the impact of this community together. Our founding pastors, John and Mary March will be in attendance, as well as our previous interim pastor Kari Jacott.

We celebrated the resurrection of Jesus Christ on Easter Sunday with a message called “The King Has One More Move.”

Today is Palm Sunday—the day Jesus rode into Jerusalem, and the crowds shouted ‘Hosanna!’ They welcomed Him as King… but many didn’t realize He was heading toward a cross.

Palm Sunday invites us to do the same—to welcome Jesus as King. Not just with our words, but with our lives. Not just in celebration, but in surrender.

Eye for an eye. Salt of the earth. Light of the world. Let your yes be yes. Do not judge. Lead us not into temptation. Daily bread.

These epic phrases all find their genesis in what is known as the Sermon on the Mount – the most incredible Ted Talk ever given by…..you guessed it….Jesus.

Join us at New City this fall as we introduce our new sermon series on the Sermon on the Mount. Our task will be simple: Be with Jesus. Be like Jesus. Do what he would do. We will explore the different topics Jesus discussed in the Sermon on the Mount and get after the question, “What does it mean to follow Jesus?”

At New City, we’re passionate about creating a space where families grow in faith together. We believe that kids and students thrive when they learn spiritual truths both at home with their parents and in fun, age-appropriate classes on Sunday mornings. We also love building connections across generations, so we encourage everyone, no matter their age, to serve and participate in our gatherings.
