When we picture Christmas, we think of baby Jesus wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger, surrounded by shepherds and animals....not with a red dragon lying in wait to do battle with him. But that's exactly how Revelation 12 pictures his birth. In this strange Advent passage, we learn why life is always a battle even though Jesus came to bring peace on earth.
