In the opening message of our Kingdom Reversals series, we step into the moment just before Jesus delivers the Sermon on the Mount. Esther found herself at the center of political power, yet it was not position that defined her call, but trust in God amid uncertainty. Like Esther and Mordecai, we are called to live out the Gospel through character and discernment, not control or comfort.

God’s name is never mentioned in the book of Esther, yet His providence is unmistakable. Andrea reminds us that spiritual endurance is not about pushing through in our own strength, but abiding in trust, even when outcomes are unknown. At the heart of Esther’s story is a surrender that says, “If I perish, I perish.”

Are we willing to live with that kind of bold obedience? To trust when we don’t feel in control? To anchor our hope in the unseen God who weaves purpose into every season? This sermon invites us to move forward with prayer, people, and faith—because, like Esther, we have been placed where we are for such a time as this.

In week two of our series on calling, Pastor Koob teaches from the story of Ruth, a woman who had every reason to be overlooked. As a widow, foreigner, and outsider in a patriarchal society, Ruth lived on the margins. Yet through quiet courage and bold faithfulness, she steps into God’s redemptive story. From her loyalty to Naomi to her risk-taking initiative in seeking provision and protection, Ruth shows us that faithfulness in hidden places matters deeply to God. This message challenges us to turn to God, seek Him daily, and take faithful risks, even when no one sees. In God’s kingdom, the margins are often the very place where purpose takes root.

In the first message of our new series, we explore the calling of Moses, a man who walked away from the comfort and power of Egypt to pursue God’s greater purpose. Teaching from Hebrews 11:23–27, we see how Moses moved from identity crisis to spiritual clarity, rejecting the fleeting pleasures of empire in order to embrace the path of faith and sacrifice. This sermon unpacks the tension between the world’s systems and the values of God’s kingdom, inviting us to reflect on our own callings. What false identities are we holding onto? What “Egypts” are we being called to leave behind? Just like Moses, we are invited to follow the invisible God with courage, humility, and trust, living out the Gospel boldly right where we are.

The book of Acts ends not with a period, but with an open invitation. In Acts 28:16 to 31, Paul finally arrives in Rome, the heart of the empire, and begins to proclaim the Gospel boldly and without hindrance. Though imprisoned, Paul welcomes all who come, teaches about Jesus, and lives out the kingdom of God right where he is. This final message in our Acts series invites us to take up the same calling. Like Paul, we are called to share the Good News in both word and action, to build communities where everyone belongs, and to trust the power of the Holy Spirit in every season. The story is not over. We are the next chapter. What might it look like for you to live boldly and without hindrance today?

In Acts 28:1-15, we witness Paul shipwrecked on the island of Malta. Even in this unexpected detour, the mission of God continues. In this sermon, Jingyang highlights a recurring theme in both Luke and Acts: supernatural healing through the power of the Holy Spirit. Just as Jesus healed, and Paul was empowered to heal in the name of Jesus, the church today is also called to move in faith, pray with boldness, and expect God to bring healing in all areas of life—physical, emotional, and spiritual. The same Spirit who worked through the early church then, is also at work now in us. What if healing became a normal part of following Christ?
