Where is the first place you turn for help when you are sick or hurting?
Is it the medicine cabinet? Maybe a pain killer? Or is it alcohol or drugs? Maybe your natural first option is to call a doctor or a friend.
Jesus offers himself to us in our trials and sickness. He is willing to come near to us no matter how bad our situation may be.
In Matthew 8:1-3, Jesus is approached by a leper who asks for healing. Leper's were considered unapproachable because of the skin disease they bore, but Jesus does not let that bother him.
"When Jesus came down from the mountain, large crowds followed Him. Suddenly a leper came and knelt before Him, saying, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.” Jesus reached out His hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” He said. “Be clean!” And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.
Jesus was always willing to heal as we see in today's passage from Pastor Dave Flannery. As believers, we are called to be the hands and feet of Jesus. If you are in need of prayer please let us know. We would be happy to pray with you.
