In the series, Gospel and Racism, Dr. Tim Johnson looks at Ephesians 4:2-6 and other verses which help lay the down the foundation for the Gospel speaks about racism. All people are uniquely created by God and are valuable in heaven and to God, equally invited to follow Jesus and called to love all people unconditionally.

Dr. Tim Johnson finishes the series "Awaken" by looking at 2 Timothy 2:21-22 and Hebrews 12:1. Sin causes us to put ourselves as the center of our world rather than God. Rather than making our life about following God we make it about us. Creation was made to point us to the One who alone has the ability to satisfy our hearts. 

Dr. Tim Johnson looks at Isaiah 40:12-31 and four characteristics of God: God Is, God Is Indescribable, God Is Aware and God Is Involved. When we embrace God and these characteristics about Him, we can receive strength to carry on and overcome what we are going through. 

Dr. Tim Johnson looks at Psalm 61:1-4. We are to pray because God is our rock, our fortified tower, because He is available and present always and protective. Our hope is not outward, but upward. 

Dr. Tim Johnson looks at Psalm 67 and Philippians 2:3. Everyone has a concern which is valued as the highest priority in life. However, if it is not the Lord, then it is our idol. Therefore, just as Christ did, we are to do nothing out of ambition or conceit. Rather we are to count others more significant than ourselves. God begins where we end. 

Dr. Tim Johnson explores the history of the great awakenings that have happened throughout history in light of Psalm 67:1-7. Any spiritual awakening will start with those who trust in Christ and while the task may seem daunting, God cannot give what we will not admit we need. 

Dr. Tim Johnson, Senior Pastor, looks at Romans 8 in light of Psalm 23:5. God has prepared a table for us in the presence of our enemies who seek to lead us away from Him through distraction, self-absportion, fear, etc. We are to resist the temptations and be assured that nothing can separate us from the love of God. Lives change at the table; therefore, we are to be selective on who sits at our table. 

Dr. Tim Johson explores Acts 8:1-4 where the early church were undergoing hardship. Despite this, they continued to spread the Good News. We are to remember to embrace our place wherever we are in order to point people to Jesus and to remember that Jesus is always with us. 

Dr. Tim Johnson, Senior Pastor, looks at 2 Timothy 1:5, 2 Timothy 3:14-17, Joel 1:3 and Lamentations 3:22-23. We are to not underestimate the impact of our personal walk with Jesus will have on those around and after us. Whether it is our neighbors, coworkers or family we are to model Christ in our interactions with them and to live each new day renewed as God's mercies are afresh each morning. 

Dr. Tim Johnson looks at Isaiah 40:29-31 and John 14:16-17. Jesus told the disciples that they needed to wait in Jerusalem until God sent them the gift that he promised. Waiting is an important part of growing in faith even though it is hard. It is in those hard times, and others, that if we do not know what to pray that the Holy Spirit will help in praying for us.
