In this part one of a three-part series on the providence of God, we examine God's eternal decree. We examine the nature of this decree, the characteristics of this decree, objections to this decree, and applications.

In response to Jesus' words at the Festival of Booths - Tabernacles, there is division among the people as to who he is. Some are convinced, some are confused, some are combative, and some are confounded. However, in addition to division in the crowds, the prideful religious leaders feel utter disdain towards this man Jesus. This passage helps inform Christians how they ought to handle Scripture to know the true person of Jesus, and the need for humility in knowing Christ.

In a 2nd sermon focused on the continuing coronavirus pandemic, Pastor Andy preaches that- God is sovereign over calamity, the evangelical church at large is in sin, and that Christians - churches should respond to this by humbling themselves -- through prayer, seeking God, and repentance.

For Resurrection Sunday 2020, we go through Matthew's account of the resurrection. We first look at what takes place near the tomb in the text, and then what happens as the text transitions away from the tomb. Then exhortations are made to the believe regarding confidence in the resurrection, as well as relying on Jesus' high priestly work rather than on our own strength. To conclude, an exhortation is given to non-Christians to repent of their sins and trust the risen Christ.

Pastor Gary defends the doctrine of limited atonement in an informal debate with an Arminian friend. He presents a systematic theological defense of limited atonement from both the Old - New Testament for the first -40 minutes. Then for the next -40 minutes, he addresses Bible passages that are commonly used to oppose limited atonement. This audio clip only includes portions where limited atonement is being defended -- it does not include debate portions of when the opposing side was speaking.
