Ways God Describes LGBTQ Living, outside of Romans 1

• Gen. 18:20; 19:4-7, 24, 25

• Lev. 18:22; 20:13

• Jude 7

• Gen. 2:18, 20

• 1 Tim. 1:8-10

• 1 Cor. 6:9-11

What my LGBTQ Friends say:

1. God punished Sodom for inhospitality not homosexuality—Gen. 19:5

2. The “Strange flesh” is not LGBTQ but sex with angels—Jude 7; 2 Peter 2:4-10; Rom. 1:26, 27.

3. The Old Testament laws against same-sex activity in Lev. 18:22 and 20:13 were abrogated with the other ceremonial laws at the time of Christ.

4. The word “natural” in Romans 1:26-27 is subjective.

Answering Questions for LGBTQ Family & Friends

1. Will LGBTQ “lovers of God” inherit heaven? – Matt. 7:22, 23; John 14:15; 1 John 5:3; 2:4; Eph. 5:5; 1 Cor. 6:9-11.

2. How do we live with LGBTQ family and friends?— Rom. 2:1-4; 2 Tim. 2:22-26; Isa. 5:20, 24. We trust, love, pray, share Christ, weep.

3. Is there any hope a LGBTQ person will change? Eph. 2:12; 1 Cor. 6:9-11.

4. Are LGBTQ desires a force beyond their control? – Matt. 1:23; Eph. 2: 1-5.

5. What if we have same-sex attractions? – 1 Cor. 10:31; Luke 9:23; Gal. 5:16-26.

Battle Plan for Victory over Temptations to Sexual Lust

1. Acknowledge sexual lusts exist in us. Prov. 28:13; Prov. 4:14, 15

2. Confess the sin of breaking the 7th and 8th commandments. Matt. 5:28

3. Know your Target. Not porn, naked, masturbation, lust via looking

4. Aim at the Heart not others. Adam blamed Eve ….(Gen. 3:12, 13) the problem is our own heart (Mark 7:14-23) “Adult consent” does not define what is permissible

5. God’s Word not our “will power” is the primary tool for victory. Matt. 26:41; Ps. 119:9-11; James 1:21; Rom. 13:12-14
