A new variant of Covid 19 (B.1.1.7.) has had the largest outbreak right here in my hometown. with over 100 positive tests for the variant and 200 people infected (but not tested specifically for the variant), should we be worried about a massive community spread?

This new variant has some scary statistics backing it as results from it's impact in the U.K. are being sent out. With some people questioning the effectiveness of vaccines against variants, and fear of how to respond to a seemingly un-ending assault on our "old" way of life.

Am I worried? Should you be? And how should we respond to this unyielding threat?
