  • Safe, Stable, and Sane Spiritual Practices In Crazy Times with Philip Goldberg
Free Listening Through November 17, 2026:

Some of us are asking the questions: Are spiritual practices a necessity or merely a luxury in these turbulent times? How do prayer, meditation, mindfulness and other practices help us in crazy times? Here we explore practices that will stabilize and anchor us when the winds of rancor and rage are swirling. Goldberg urges us to look into our spiritual pantry to find the ingredients that are most useful to us, ones that fit our personal needs, predilections and circumstances. He encourages us to create effective spiritual routines yet remain flexible. He also talks about becoming activists and says, “Spiritual practitioners are needed to also rise to the occasion and be good citizens, active citizens.” He advocates bringing the best of ourselves to our life and work by combining our outer work in the world with our inner work of spiritual development and says, “It’s not a luxury but it’s incumbent upon us to bring the qualities we’re developing in ourselves out into the world as our contribution, whether it’s minor or small, whether it’s a phone call to somebody to make them feel better, or you’re out in the streets marching, or you’re running for office. Whatever it is, the world needs deeply spiritual people who tend to be more loving, more compassionate, more wise.”

  • The Art of Noticing: A Mindfulness Practice for Everyday Life with Willow Older and Deborah Huber
Free Listening Through November 10, 2026:

On what was meant to be a museum outing, Willow Older and Deborah Huber arrived at San Francisco’s Museum of Modern Art only to find it closed. With a few unexpected free hours on their hands, rather than let the day go to waste, they wandered the city, and somewhere in that wandering, a practice was born. They turned their unplanned afternoon into an experiment: notice one thing, write it down, then draw it. Eight years later, “Today I Noticed” has grown into a book, an Instagram community, and a workshop practice embraced by teams across industries, from tech companies to hospitals to remote workforces scattered across continents. Older and Huber describe how this deceptively simple ritual builds resilience, deepens empathy, and dissolves the perfectionism that keeps so many people from creative expression. They share how the practice carried them through pandemic isolation, why it works even for self-described “non-artists,” and how a single sentence and quick sketch can transform a passing moment, a stranger’s hat, a wilting flower, an unsent wedding invitation, into a lasting point of connection and gratitude.

  • The Gratitude Adjustment with Becca Anderson
Free Listening Through November 3, 2026:

In 2024, UC Berkeley studies showed that gratitude is a key component of our happiness. People who are grateful about the events in their life and even experiences from the past can help us transform our fears into courage, our anger into forgiveness, our isolation into belonging, and the pain of others into healing. However, this may not be our default mode, and most of us need to work intentionally to increase our feelings of gratefulness and have it become a way of life. Gratitude, says author Becca Anderson, is not positive thinking, it’s inner work. Raised on a modest West Virginia farm where her father greeted every stranger as “neighbor,” Anderson learned simple contentment early, later surviving on apples, potatoes, and Lipton tea while building a new life in San Francisco. A turning point came when she discovered children lacquering products in a factory she was set to visit for her import-export job. She quit on the spot and, on a friend’s advice, found her true calling in book publishing. In this dialogue Anderson shares her morning intention-setting ritual, the “gratitude adjustment” she uses to counter negative auto-pilot thinking, and affirmations written as “I am” rather than “I want.” She describes small random acts of kindness, from her “Take What You Need” flyers to a chance gift of cookies that changed a stranger’s day, along with journaling, vision boards, and the practice of deep listening, including letters from a friend on Ukraine’s front line who thanked her simply for hearing him.

  • The Neuroscience of Soul with Helen Lavretsky, MD, MS
Free Listening Through October 27, 2026:

The word “psychology” hides something in plain sight. It comes from “psyche”—the Greek word for soul. But somewhere along the way, we took the soul out of psychology. We’ve handed our well-being over to the brain, the hormones, the chemistry—and this leaves out our deeper quest of who we really are. Integrative psychiatrist and UCLA neuroscientist Dr. Helen Lavretsky invites us to rediscover the soul at the heart of psychology. Raised in a family of Moscow scientists, Lavretsky redirected her studies and life work when she had a spontaneous Kundalini Yoga awakening at forty-five. She now teaches a soul listening meditation that guides people into direct conversation with their own soul. She claims that this meditation is so moving that nearly ninety-five percent of participants weep when their soul offers them a hug. In this dialogue Lavretsky, explores ego, soul, spirit, heart-brain coherence, grounding practices like walking barefoot on sand; EFT and EMDR for releasing trauma; and cultivating intuition through stillness. She also weighs AI’s promise and peril for mental health and why nature, beauty, and creative expression remain the soul’s clearest languages, offering tools to become conscious creators of our own reality.

  • Making Wise Decisions For Better Health with Elson Haas, M.D.
Free Listening Through October 20, 2026:

The medical choices that we have today can be bewildering. They include allopathic medicine, also known as Western medicine, Eastern medicine, and alternative or natural/holistic medicine. Also our choice of health practitioners has an even larger number of options. We can go to naturopaths, acupuncturists, osteopaths, or MDs. We can look up symptoms on the Internet and attempt to self-diagnose from countless illnesses and diseases. The choices are multitudinous. So how do we wade through the variety of options? Elson Haas, M.D. is dedicated to empowering each of us with the knowledge and resources we need to make the best choices for our health. He says, “I want to engage with people; I like to keep people out of hospitals, out of surgery, and using the least medicines. What I do as an integrative practitioner is to work with multiple systems. I want the simplest, most effective, and safest thing for people to use and a lot of times that’s natural remedies over and above drugs.” In this deep dialogue Haas describes three systems of medicine – Natural Medicine, Eastern Medicine, Western Medicine – and when each may be appropriate to support our best health.

  • Rewiring Our Brains For Effectiveness And Well-being with Linda Graham, MFT
Free Listening Through October 13, 2026:

Graham points out that it is possible to train our brains, our bodies, and our hearts to access our intuitive wisdom, not only to get through the tough times but to grow and become more conscious in the process. This training is supported by research scientists who have found that combining mindfulness and neuroscience, which includes neuroplasticity, can lead us to more resilience and well-being. She describes the five intelligences of the body and mind and tells us, “We’re able to actually regulate the responses of our automatic nervous system so that we’re not too revved up [with] too much anxiety or fear and we’re not too shut down.” She also talks about not bypassing negative emotions and advises that we practice self-compassion saying, “True compassion and any of the positive emotions that we practice actually shift the functioning of the brain out of the negativity bias of the brain, out of contraction, out of reactivity into more openness, into more receptivity, into possibilities of learning and optimism. Any time we practice compassion, kindness, gratitude, joy, awe, delight, we’re shifting the functioning of the brain. So it’s important to cultivate positive emotions, not just to feel better, but so that we can actually do better. The direct, immediate, cause and effect outcome of these positive emotion practices is resilience.” She goes on to point out that when we feel safe, held, loved, and valued by other people, we are supported in our ability to be resilient. She recommends exercise, sleep, nutrition, learning something new, and hanging out with healthy brains as activities that support our brains to be more active and engaged. And when we are feeling overwhelmed it’s helpful to remember that we can’t solve everything, that our task is to mend the little patch where we are.

  • Healing Racism with a Community of Allies with Catherine Meeks, Ph.D.
Free Listening Through October 6, 2026:

Here we explore how racial healing becomes a lived spiritual practice instead of an abstract ideal. It is grounded in courageous truth-telling and compassionate listening across the deep lines of race, history, and identity. Theologian and contemplative teacher Dr. Catherine Meeks draws from her childhood as a Black sharecropper’s daughter in the Jim Crow South and from decades of civil rights and coalition-building work. She weaves autobiography with incisive analysis of systemic racism, scarcity, and structural injustice, inviting listeners into inner reflection alongside collective transformation. Emphasizing that “leaning across the bridge of our differences” is an ongoing discipline rather than a slogan, Meeks highlights the intersections of race, gender, class, and spirituality, and the crucial role of white allies and faith communities. She challenges the tendency to compete over which group is most oppressed—what she calls the “oppression Olympics”—and instead points toward a more unified, liberatory vision of justice. Throughout, Meeks models a fierce, faith-rooted commitment to those on the margins and offers a compassionate yet unsentimental path for confronting our deepest divides.

  • From Digital Distraction to Human Connection with Shannon Algeo
Free Listening Through September 29, 2026:

Technology has transformed nearly every aspect of modern life, but at what cost to our relationships, creativity, and inner well-being? Psychotherapist Shannon Algeo invites us to examine our relationship with our devices through the lens of attachment theory, revealing how smartphones can become surrogate attachment figures that promise comfort while drawing us away from authentic human connection. Rather than promoting guilt or rejecting technology, he offers a compassionate path of accountability and grace that helps us become more intentional in how we use these powerful tools. Through practical exercises, nature-based practices, creative expression, and renewed community, Algeo demonstrates that reclaiming our attention is ultimately an act of reclaiming our humanity. This rich dialogue explores how we can move from unconscious digital habits toward greater presence, relational security, and a more fully lived life.

  • Why Trees Matter for All Life with Diana Beresford-Kroeger, Ph.D.
Free Listening Through September 22, 2026:

Scientist and Celtic wisdom-keeper Diana Beresford-Kroeger invites us into a living relationship with trees as essential partners in planetary healing. Bridging modern botany, medical biochemistry, and ancient Irish teachings, she reveals how forests regulate climate, generate oxygen, influence rainfall, and sustain ocean life through intricate biochemical exchanges. Drawing from her early immersion in Gaelic ecological knowledge and her groundbreaking scientific research, Beresford-Kroeger presents a compelling vision: trees are not resources, but elders and allies. She explains how compounds released by trees support human health, how “mother trees” nurture entire ecosystems, and why restoring global forests is critical to stabilizing Earth’s atmosphere. At the heart of this conversation is her practical “bioplan”—a simple, collective strategy of planting native trees that could, within a generation, reverse climate imbalance. With urgency and hope, she calls each of us to participate in reforesting the planet and renewing our reciprocity with the natural world. This dialogue is both a scientific awakening and a mythic remembering, inviting us to see forests as the green heart of life itself.

  • Self-Discovery Through Photography with David Ulrich
Free Listening Through September 15, 2026:

Here we explore the creative process as expressed in the art of photography. Photography can awaken our potential for expanded consciousness. It can help us become fully present, undivided, and liberated from the constraints of our mundane preoccupations. Photography appeals to many as one of the most important means of communication of the 21st century. Thanks to cell phones and digital technology it’s become the great democratic medium. We are in the early stages of a profound revolution and we can participate in shaping the realities of the new order in which images are made, seen, and shared immediately and globally without curation or censoring by editors or governments. David Ulrich explains, “The marvelous thing about photography is that it requires a dual awareness. We have to be aware of the external world; we have to be aware of our subject. At the same time, we need to be aware of ourselves because our response to the world takes place in our mind, in our heart, in our body. The more we become attentive to what’s outside of us, the more we are becoming aware of our own reactions and responses. I think when it comes to people, it naturally engenders greater empathy.”
