7 “When my soul fainted within me, I remembered the Lord; And my prayer went up to You, into Your holy temple. 8 “Those who regard worthless idols forsake their own mercy. 9 But I will sacrifice to You with the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay what I have vowed. Salvation is of the Lord.”

In this week's lesson, we take a look at the reluctance of Gideon to move to move according to God's instructions. We will see that it took God's repeated reassurance and even vital encouragement that you and I may even have to depend.

10 Then Jesus said to him,“Away with you, Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve.’ ” 11 Then the devil left Him, and behold, angels came and ministered to Him. - Matthew 4:10-11 NKJV

3 Do not let your adornment be merely outward—arranging the hair, wearing gold, or putting on fine apparel— 4 rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God. - 1 Peter 3:3-4 NKJV

21 And Elijah came to all the people, and said, “How long will you falter between two opinions? If the Lord is God, follow Him; but if Baal, follow him.” ... 22 Then Elijah said to the people, “I alone am left a prophet of the Lord; but Baal’s prophets are four hundred and fifty men. 24 Then you call on the name of your gods, and I will call on the name of the Lord; and the God who answers by fire, He is God.” - 1 Kings 18:21-22, 24 NKJV

This week's lesson takes us into the period of the judges of Israel. We learn about the constant cycle Israel faced during this period as we learn about God raising Ehud as a judge as Ehud frees Israel.

17 If anyone wills to do His will, he shall know concerning the doctrine, whether it is from God or whether I speak on My own authority. 18 He who speaks from himself seeks his own glory; but He who seeks the glory of the One who sent Him is true, and no unrighteousness is in Him. - John 7:17-18 NKJV

15 The joy of our heart has ceased; Our dance has turned into mourning. 16 The crown has fallen from our head. Woe to us, for we have sinned! 21 Turn us back to You, O Lord, and we will be restored; Renew our days as of old - Lamentations 5:15-16, 21 NKJV

There is true wealth that the world cares little about but it should be today we will see that this wealth should be the focus for all people to gain. In this week's sermon I take a look at how to gain this wealth and what we must do when we begin to store up this wealth.

30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall, 31 But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint. - Isaiah 40:30-31 NKJV
