New school years often bring new friends. It can be nerve-wracking to watch our kids navigate shifting groups, sometimes choosing friends we’re not sure about. But friendship is how they experiment with who they are. Sometimes it’s a great fit, sometimes not and both teach them something. Our role isn’t to control, but to stay curious: ask what they enjoy about being with this friend, how it feels, what draws them in. When we listen like that, we remind them of their worth while they figure it out.(summary of Kim’s audio)
