Meekness is a quality that needs explanation. No one brags about being meek. No one receives awards for being the meekest. It's just not a celebrated quality in our culture. However, Jesus exalts it as a marker of kingdom people. The meek are blessed because they will inherit the earth. We'll spend this episode diving a little deeper into what it means to be meek.

What does it mean that those who mourn will be blessed and comforted? On Sunday Pastor Noah preached about mourning and God's bottle and His book. In this episode, we take a deeper dive into the second beatitude in Matthew 5:4, "Blessed are those who mourn for they will be comforted."

This is the maiden voyage of Prime Cuts, a podcast to take you a little deeper into what is preached each week at NHC. This week Pastor Noah began a new series through the Sermon on the Mount. Pastor Shane is our host, and Pastors Noah and Matt joined in on this discussion.
