In Jeremiah 29:11, it says that God has a plan for us, a plan to prosper and not harm us.  What is God’s plan for us?  Surprisingly, God’s plan is for us to leave Jerusalem and go to Babylon.

Christopher Hitchens once said: “Once we assume a creator and a plan, it makes humans objects of a cruel experiment whereby we are created to be sick and commanded to be well.”
And Christianity feels like a cruel experiment at times since the Bible is full impossible commands that we can never live by.  This is why God gives irresistible grace.

Jesus once said “My house will be a house of prayer but you turned it into a den of robbers”.  How can the Temple of the Lord turn into a den of robbers?  What does that mean?

Even though we say that  God is everywhere and that Jesus is always with us., we often feel that Jesus is missing from our lives.  That Jesus is nowhere to be found.  It seems like we have lost Jesus in the same way that Joseph and Mary somehow lost Jesus on their way back from Jerusalem.  Where can we find Jesus?  We can find him at his Father's house.  We are going to at why Jesus appears to be missing from our lives and how we can find him again.
