Isaiah, over several chapters, begins to predict the exact way in which Israel will be delivered from exile, even though Isaiah writes generations before it would happen. God’s prophecy is written beforehand to comfort his people in exile; people who are born away from their fathers’ land. And this comfort points us further forward to hope in Christ.
