Spiderman is a classic. He is an incredible superhero and yet entirely relatable. Possessing powers that could change the world, yet he focuses on the neighborhood; On home. But what happens when he finds himself Far From Home and forced to make a decision? Perhaps it’s not too different from the decision we are called to make every day.

In David’s last words he reflected on the purpose God had given him. In the last words of Jesus, he gave instructions to us in living out our purpose.

David was a great King, chosen and anointed by God, but even the best king or queen still royally screws up. What do we do in the presence of things in our lives that have the potential to distract and derail us from our purpose?

In combating the giants in our lives, what we have experienced in the past and are experiencing today, God will use to prepare us for tomorrow but we must move forward with Him.

God often calls the most unqualified to do His greatest works, but sometimes our circumstances make it seem as though we’ve been forgotten or overlooked. We know that we were made for more, so why aren’t we there yet? Why can’t we see it yet? Keep going. God may be using this time as preparation.

Following Jesus should proclaim, "My chains fell off!" and not, "I better not mess up."

The abuse of power happens when people use their position or place of authority to obtain what they want and when they want it, despite the cost to others.  Jesus, who had access to all the power possible, came to demonstrate to us that the power that we have been given is to be used to serve others well.

Money is often something uncomfortable to talk about, especially at church. It’s private. It’s personal. It’s sometimes embarrassing. So why did Jesus talk about money more than almost anything else? It might be that when Jesus talked about money, He was talking about something much deeper going on in our hearts. Talking about money isn’t supposed to be condemning, it’s supposed to be freeing.

What if it's not that we overvalue sex, but rather that we don't value sex enough?

Our view of Sex, Money, and Power is determined by the condition of our heart. The condition of our heart is determined but what we pursue the most.
