This individual has already decided that suicide is in his/her future, but he/she is not sure when it'll happen. Lance decides to answer this person publicly. All throughout the Bible, we see that God uses MESSED UP people. In this message, Pastor Lance refers to Jonah waiting to see what he surely thought Nineveh would do. Jonah assumed Nineveh would just immediately turn back to sin. This human instinct can be harmful, or even fatal. Jonah himself pleaded for God to take his life. See how we can learn from this here!

Jonah told Nineveh they had 40 days before they're overthrown. Pastor Lance explains the meaning of the word 'overthrown'. It means to turn, or overturn. Change or be changed. God was offering Nineveh a second chance, a chance to turn from their wicked ways. Maybe we can learn from this. Maybe there's someone in your life you, like Jonah, have given up on, but God has not.
