What do we mean when we talk about the heart? Usually we’re referring to our emotional center. Many foolish actions have been made by people following the leading of their heart. Instead of focusing on our heart, which can mislead us, we should be focusing on God, who will never mislead us.

No one plans on following Jesus from a distance. Some may have turned their back on Christ, but that wasn’t the case in the beginning. Being distant from the Lord happens subtly, it happens gradually and many don’t recognize it until it’s too late. The bible warns about “falling away from the faith.” We’re going to learn from Jesus so that we don’t follow Him from a distance.

Indecision can cripple a person’s ability to succeed in life. There are decisions we make that are life changing, but due to indecisiveness we’ve made foolish decisions. The most important decision we will ever make is what we will do with Jesus Christ.

Everyone struggles with doubt. It is a result of things in life that don’t always make sense. We ask ourselves, where was God in this, where was God when that happened. Some of the greatest people in the bible had their doubts about God. We’re going learn how Jesus’ addresses those who wrestle with doubt.

Our life is like a story, in fact, Psalm 90:9 states that “we spend our years as a tale that is told.” The problem is, we don’t know how our story will end, but God does. He is the author who knows our story and He finishes what He begins.
