Science is such an amazing subject that it can boggle the mind. But science left to itself can become dangerous. Science needs evidence, so when faith is in the picture, scientific evidence can become problematic. We’re going to learn how we got to this point in our society where “truth can only be truth if there is evidence to back it up.”

Everything that moves is guided by something. The same is true with our lives, we are guided by something. It’s your choice what that something will be. Some people are guided by money. Others are guided by feelings. We’re going to explore if our lives should be guided by truth.

We probably all know the phrase, “Do you swear to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth, so help you God?” And the person usually answers, “I do.” But in order to make that answer valid, the person must first know what is truth. We’re going to learn what truth really is.

Action, adventure, comedy, and romance, we thrive on these kinds of entertainment. Hollywood spends and makes billions of dollars every year, to give us a little glimpse of what life could be like. Some people live for what "they" have in the movies. People live for different reasons. If we only live for what's temporary, then as soon as what is temporary wears off, where does that leave us? We're going to learn that there is so much more to live for than the temporary, by understanding what Jesus did for us.

The way God intended to reach us was not through religion, it was through relationships. The church is basically an extension of the hand of God. We're going to learn what the church is for, why should I be a part of it and what happens without the church.
