Throughout Nehemiah 4 we see God working through ordinary means to complete his purposes despite opposition from forces on the outside and from within.

Construction begins on the walls and gates of Jerusalem. It's not paid staff or religious leaders. It's the entire community coming together to take part in the Kingdom of God.
